The Yeoncheon DMZ International Music Festival began in 2011 under the theme of “Peace and Harmony” in Yeoncheon, the center of the Korean Peninsula and the treasure house for the DMZ ecological peace. It has been held as a cultural event where the world joins hands in harmony every August in Yeoncheon, Gyeonggi-do, which borders the Military Demarcation Line. As a high-quality classical music festival that combines various genres of music with renowned classical artists from home and abroad, it has established itself as a new paradigm for the global music festivals where the world unites into one.
