http://www.yeoncheon.go.kr/The Archaeological Site in Jeongok-ri (Historic Site No. 268) is a world-class Paleolithic site where the
fist ax was found for the first time in East Asia. Currently, a prehistoric park is built over the area
covering 1.15 million square meters of land where the Paleolithic Festival is held every year.
The center of the prehistoric park boasts a wide lawn where visitors can freely enter and enjoy nature.
Prehistoric sculptures are installed throughout the park, offering visitors photo zones and things to see.
Since the Jeongok Prehistory Museum and Prehistoric Experience Village are connected to each other through
the park trail, it is a leading historical and cultural park in northern Gyeonggi-do Province where children
can benefit from education, experience, and a stroll through the park.
