The Korean War Monument, located at Mirae Pass in Sang 1-ri, Yeoncheon-eup, was built by Yeoncheon-gun residents on April 22, 1966 to commemorate the military victory achieved by the Philippine military at the Yuldong-ri Battle (April 22-April 23, 1951) in the Yeoncheon region where the military engaged in the biggest battle against the Chinese military during the Korean War. The monument was built for the 125 fallen souls of that battle.

The inscription on the memorial monument reads as follows. “To the heroic Philippine soldiers who have contributed to this land for freedom and world peace.”
