Goryang Port has been a strategic hub since the Three Kingdoms Era, playing a key role in the exchange of goods through the Imjingang River.
In the 1930s, the port flourished with a branch of Hwasin Department Store through the exchange of goods between Kaesong and Seoul, but the Korean War and the division of the two Koreas caused the port to decline. It is also famous for the infiltration route used in the Infiltration Point of the Blue House Raid.
Goryang Port Historical Park has realized and recreated the history and geographical characteristics engraved in Goryang Port. Realistic historical and security experiences are available through virtual and augmented reality. The area consists of a playground for children, multi-purpose spaces (including dining places), and seminar rooms.
It is composed of four information and exhibition areas. The exhibition is held in the order of ① Moments in Meetings, ② Moments in Life, ③ Moments in History and Culture, and ④ Moments of the Five Senses.
